Our Beliefs

The Mission of our Congregation
The reason for our existence is to worship and enjoy the relationship God desires to have with us, to live in harmony with Him and His Will by seeking to grow our congregation (numerically and spiritually), and to spread his love and Word locally and worldwide.
We seek to accomplish this:
in our midst by meaningful worship, studies and various fellowship opportunities
worldwide by World Relief, missionary support, and a quilting group
Our Beliefs
The Almighty God has declared Himself to be three co-equal “personages” in One: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (which, as humans, we cannot understand). He tells us that:
…the Father created all that exists, and loves and cares for each of us personally and individually.
Genesis 1:1-12; Genesis 1:26-27; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19-20
…Jesus Christ is the Father’s only Son, Who kept every commandment perfectly so that by His death and resurrection He could make eternal life available to all who walk with Him.
John 1:1; John 3:16; John 14:6; 2 Corinthians 5:21
…Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He empowers Christians to follow Jesus and be ambassadors of God. He also prays for us and helps us with our prayers.
John 3:6; John 15:26; John 16:13; Romans 8:26-17; 1 Corinthians 2:4
Mankind: The Bible declares that we were created male and female, and in the image of God (i.e. perfect). However, because of Adam and Eve’s disobedience to God, all of their descendants (i.e. all human beings) have been separated from God and His promises, and are in need of forgiveness and salvation (available through Jesus).
Genesis 1:27; Psalm 51:5; 1 Corinthians 2:14; 1 Timothy 2:4
Heaven and Hell: Heaven and Hell are very real places.
Heaven is the place prepared by God for Himself and all those who accept what Jesus has done for them by His death and resurrection. Followers of Jesus will spend eternity in God’s presence enjoying absolute peace without any pain, suffering, negativity, or sickness.
On the other hand, hell is a place of eternal torment and extreme unhappiness (devoid of any love since God will not be there and “God=love”). Hell is for those who choose to reject and ignore God’s love and mercy.
John 3:6; John 15:26; John 16:13; 1 Corninthians 2:14
